Ashgabat, April 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution on Friday during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, approving new procedures for the development and adoption of industrial safety standards and regulations, according to official Turkmen media.
The resolution was adopted to regulate industrial safety measures in accordance with Article 4 of the Law of Turkmenistan “On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities,” the government reported.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented the draft resolution during the meeting. According to his report, the document was prepared by the Main State Service Türkmenstandartlary in collaboration with relevant ministries, sectoral agencies, and the administrations of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
President Berdimuhamedov underscored the critical importance of strict adherence to industrial safety standards, emphasizing their role in the modernization and sustainable development of Turkmenistan’s national economy. After signing the resolution, the head of state transmitted the document to the deputy prime minister via the digital system and issued a series of instructions to ensure its effective implementation.
Several other matters concerning national development and governance were also discussed during Friday’s Cabinet meeting.
