Islamabad, April 29, 2025 – The Europe Today: On April 28, 2025, a delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), led by its Vice President Mr. Xiang Wang, visited the FPCCI Capital House in Islamabad. The delegation comprised senior executives and business leaders from prominent industrial and commercial enterprises, including representatives from the Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Equipment Industry, the New Energy Operations Committee of the China Electricity Equipment Management Association, the China Jinhua (Yiwu) Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce, Precise Development (HK) Limited, Beijing Xiaotunpai Technology Co., Ltd, Beijing Hangxing Transmission Technology Co., Ltd, and Zhongke Hongtai (Anhui) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The purpose of their visit was to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The Chinese delegation held discussions with key representatives of FPCCI, including Mr. Tariq Khan Jadoon, Vice President FPCCI; Mr. Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman FPCCI President Secretariat; and Mr. Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman Coordination. Members of FPCCI’s Foreign Relations Committee, led by Mr. Zaildar Ahsan Shah (Convener), also participated, alongside Mr. Khalid Taimoor Akram, Mr. Raja Muqsit, Mr. Malik Amjad, Ms. Farah Rani, Ms. Sarah Abbasi, Mr. Tayyab Chattha, Mr. Shoeb Ahmed, Mr. Omer Rasool, Mr.Fahad Chaudhary, Mr. Shamsher Iqbal, and various representatives from Pakistan’s broader business community.
In his welcome address, Mr. Zaildar Ahsan Shah extended his gratitude to the Chinese delegation for visiting Pakistan and acknowledged the participation of the local business community, FPCCI members, and the Foreign Relations Committee. He highlighted the role of the committee in fostering diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and international business communities.
Mr. Ahsan praised Mr. Atif Ikram, President of FPCCI, for his dedicated efforts in creating platforms that enable business communities to connect and explore investment opportunities. He further highlighted that Mr. Ikram’s initiatives are contributing to the development of more effective policies aimed at boosting economic activity and trade both within Pakistan and with international partners.
During the meeting, business leaders from both countries engaged in meaningful dialogue to explore collaboration in sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, energy, new innovative technologies, healthcare, education, agriculture, and electric vehicles (EVs). The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in enhancing investment and cooperation in these areas.
Mr. Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman of the FPCCI President Secretariat, warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation to FPCCI and hailed the event as a significant achievement for the Foreign Relations Committee. He emphasized the immense potential that exists between Pakistan and China in the areas discussed, highlighting the importance of exploring and fully utilizing this potential to maximize mutual benefits. He affirmed that both Pakistan and the FPCCI are deeply committed to strengthening trade and economic ties and will offer full support wherever necessary.
Mr. Khalid Taimoor Akram expressed that China remains one of Pakistan’s closest and most trusted partners, with Chinese enterprises already actively investing across various sectors of the country. He commended the visit of the Chinese delegation, emphasizing that such engagements are instrumental in strengthening bilateral ties and will open new avenues of collaboration and opportunities for the business communities of both nations.
Mr. Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman Coordination FPCCI, appreciated the initiatives of the Foreign Relations Committee and reaffirmed FPCCI’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at boosting trade and economic partnerships with international stakeholders. He thanked the Chinese delegation for their visit and emphasized that such interactions are essential to deepening business ties between China and Pakistan.
