Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva Visit Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Headquarters in Baku

Baku, April 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, along with Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, visited the administrative building of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (TCHF) in Baku today.

The distinguished guests were welcomed by TCHF President Aktoty Raimkulova, who provided an overview of the Foundation’s mission and activities aimed at preserving and promoting the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples. During the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva praised the Foundation’s contributions to raising global awareness of the rich history and culture of the Turkic world. She emphasized the importance of increased youth engagement in the Foundation’s initiatives and cultural programs.

As part of their visit, the guests toured the TCHF museum, where they viewed exhibitions of traditional handicrafts and artifacts that reflect the tangible and intangible cultural legacy of the Turkic nations. They also enjoyed a cultural performance featuring traditional Turkic music and dance.

The visit concluded with Leyla Aliyeva signing the Foundation’s guest book, expressing her appreciation for its important work.

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, established at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and international promotion of Turkic cultural heritage. Its member states include Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye, with Hungary participating as an observer. The Foundation is headquartered in Baku.
