Astana, April 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, according to media reports confirmed by the press service of the Akorda Presidential Residence on Wednesday.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Luxembourg bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation across key sectors, including energy, finance, digital technologies, and innovation.
President Tokayev and Prime Minister Frieden also underscored the importance of unlocking the full potential of the Kazakhstan–European Union partnership and enhancing engagement with the Benelux countries as a vital component of Kazakhstan’s relations with the EU.
The discussion reaffirmed the mutual interest in expanding economic and technological collaboration and facilitating greater exchanges in areas of strategic significance.
Earlier this week, President Tokayev awarded Tleukhan Kabdrakhmanov, a distinguished veteran of Kazakhstan’s foreign service, the Order of Dostyq, 1st degree, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to strengthening international diplomacy and promoting the nation’s foreign policy objectives.
