Italian Parliamentary Delegation Visits “ASAN Service” Center in Baku

Baku, May 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: A delegation from the Italian-Azerbaijani Friendship Group of the Italian Parliament visited an “ASAN service” center in Baku to familiarize themselves with Azerbaijan’s innovative public service delivery model.

During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive overview of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Officials highlighted that the “ASAN service” centers were established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in the provision of public services.

The Italian delegation was briefed on a series of international recognitions awarded to the State Agency, including the United Nations Public Service Award in 2015, the UN Special Award for Digital Public Service Development in 2019, and the prestigious title of “World’s Most Advanced Public Service” under the Global Government Excellence Award Program in 2023. The successful international replication of the “ASAN service” model in several countries was also emphasized.

Impressed by the scope and quality of services offered, the delegation expressed high praise for the “ASAN service” centers, noting their role as a benchmark for modern public service innovation.

In addition to the “ASAN service” center, the delegation visited the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center and the “ABAD” public legal entity. These visits provided further insight into Azerbaijan’s dynamic ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship, underscoring the country’s commitment to fostering sustainable socio-economic development through technology and creative initiatives.
