Belarusian Prime Minister Pays Tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Baku

Baku, May 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Alexander Turchin, visited the Alley of Honors in Baku on Tuesday to pay solemn tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of modern, independent Azerbaijan.

During the visit, Prime Minister Turchin laid a wreath at the tomb of the late leader, honoring his enduring legacy and pivotal role in the establishment and development of the Azerbaijani state.

The Belarusian Prime Minister also visited the grave of renowned ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, where he laid flowers in remembrance of her distinguished contributions to science and medicine.

The gesture formed part of the official itinerary of the Belarusian delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan, reflecting the deep respect and friendly ties between the two countries.
