Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pay Official Visits to Hungary and Slovenia

Tashkent, May 17, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will embark on official visits to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia from May 19 to 22, 2025, underscoring Uzbekistan’s commitment to deepening international cooperation and advancing strategic partnerships in Europe.

At the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, President Mirziyoyev will arrive in Budapest on May 19. During his stay in Hungary, a series of high-level talks are scheduled, including meetings with senior government officials and representatives of major Hungarian companies. Discussions will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding practical cooperation across key sectors.

On May 21, President Mirziyoyev is set to participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in the Hungarian capital. The summit will provide an important platform for member states to discuss regional collaboration and shared development priorities.

Following his engagements in Hungary, the President will travel to Ljubljana on May 22 for an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia. There, he will hold talks with President Nataša Pirc Musar and meet with leaders of the Slovenian Parliament and Government.

President Mirziyoyev will also attend joint business events aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations. The agenda includes discussions on the implementation of joint projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, industry, food processing, and textiles, as well as cooperation in labor migration and the expansion of humanitarian and cultural ties.

These official visits reflect Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to foster diversified international partnerships and promote regional and global economic integration.
