Baku, May 20, 2025 — The Europe Today: During an official visit to the Kingdom of Spain, a parliamentary delegation from Azerbaijan, headed by Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, visited the renowned Prado Museum in Madrid.
The delegation took the opportunity to explore the museum’s extensive collection, which is considered one of the most important art museums in the world. Known for attracting nearly three million visitors annually, the Prado Museum boasts an impressive array of antique sculptures, ancient coins, and masterpieces by some of history’s most renowned artists.
With over 8,600 paintings in its collection, the museum offers a rich and diverse representation of art spanning several centuries, showcasing both classical and modern works.
The visit to the Prado Museum was a significant cultural experience for the Azerbaijani delegation, further enhancing the ties of cultural diplomacy between Azerbaijan and Spain.
