Turkmen and Kazakh Presidents Reaffirm Strategic Partnership

Astana, May 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Friday during an official visit to Kazakhstan, reaffirming the robust and friendly relations between the two neighboring Central Asian nations, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported.

President Tokayev extended a warm welcome to President Berdimuhamedov, underlining Kazakhstan’s deep appreciation for its longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan. He emphasized the strategic nature of bilateral ties rooted in historical, cultural, and economic partnerships.

In turn, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude for the invitation to participate in the inaugural Central Asia–Italy Summit and for the generous hospitality shown during his stay in Kazakhstan. He conveyed confidence that the high-level summit and its outcomes would foster stronger cooperation between Italy and the countries of Central Asia.

The two leaders are expected to continue their dialogue on expanding regional collaboration, enhancing economic partnerships, and promoting cultural exchange throughout the course of the summit.
