Iran Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Ties with Pakistan

Tehran, June 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s firm commitment to enhancing comprehensive relations with Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation and good neighborly relations.

During a meeting on Saturday in Tehran with Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri-Moqaddam, Minister Araqchi reiterated Tehran’s dedication to expanding bilateral ties across all sectors in line with existing agreements and shared regional interests.

“Iran and Pakistan hold common views on numerous regional and international matters,” Araqchi stated, underlining the need for continued dialogue to promote shared interests, regional peace, and stability. He also highlighted the strategic importance of nurturing long-standing historical and cultural bonds between the two neighboring nations.

Ambassador Amiri-Moqaddam briefed the foreign minister on the current trajectory of Iran-Pakistan relations, with a particular focus on efforts to bolster economic and trade cooperation. He noted that momentum for increased collaboration had grown following the recent official visit by Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Tehran.
