Iranian Foreign Minister to Visit Egypt and Lebanon to Strengthen Regional Ties

Tehran, June 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is scheduled to visit Egypt and Lebanon in the coming days as part of a diplomatic initiative to enhance bilateral relations and engage in discussions on pressing regional and international developments.

The visit, which will commence on Monday, was announced by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei during a press briefing on Sunday. According to Baqaei, the two-day trip will include high-level meetings in both Cairo and Beirut, where Minister Araqchi is expected to hold talks with senior government officials.

“The purpose of the visit is to deepen mutual ties, consult on regional developments—especially the situation in Palestine—and discuss matters of shared international concern,” Baqaei stated.

The spokesperson emphasized Iran’s ongoing commitment to promoting regional cooperation and dialogue, reiterating Tehran’s position on fostering constructive engagement with neighboring and partner countries.

Araqchi’s visit comes amid heightened regional dynamics and is viewed as part of Iran’s broader diplomatic efforts to support peace, stability, and collaboration across the Middle East.
