Ulaanbaatar, June 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held official talks on Monday with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh as part of his state visit to the East Asian nation, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.
During the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov expressed sincere gratitude to President Khurelsukh for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to the Turkmen delegation. He conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s steadfast commitment to advancing its partnership with Mongolia across a wide range of areas, including political and diplomatic engagement, trade and economic cooperation, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.
Underscoring the strategic importance of the visit, the Turkmen leader expressed confidence that the engagements would provide fresh impetus to bilateral ties and pave the way for the realization of mutually beneficial goals through concerted efforts.
As part of the visit, Turkmenistan and Mongolia are expected to sign a series of intergovernmental and interagency agreements aimed at bolstering the legal and institutional framework for cooperation.
The official program also features a Turkmen-Mongolian business forum, an exhibition showcasing Turkmen carpets and decorative arts, and a joint cultural event, all of which aim to deepen people-to-people ties and promote mutual understanding between the two nations.
