Ulaanbaatar, June 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Mongolia on Sunday for a two-day official visit, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.

The Turkmen leader’s aircraft touched down at Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport in Ulaanbaatar, where he was welcomed with full ceremonial honors. A guard of honor was lined up to greet the President, and the airport was adorned with the national flags of Turkmenistan and Mongolia, underscoring the importance of the occasion.

The visit will include the signing of a package of bilateral agreements, aimed at reinforcing the legal and institutional foundations of Turkmen-Mongolian cooperation across various sectors.

A series of cultural and economic events have been scheduled as part of the official agenda, including a Turkmen-Mongolian business forum, an exhibition of traditional Turkmen carpets, and displays of decorative and applied arts. In addition, a joint cultural event featuring performances by artists from both nations is expected to further strengthen people-to-people ties.

President Berdimuhamedov’s visit reflects the mutual commitment of Turkmenistan and Mongolia to deepen their strategic dialogue and expand cooperation in trade, culture, and other areas of shared interest.
