Islamabad, June 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: Under the powerful theme inspired by Chinese President Xi Jinping’s “Two Mountains Theory” — “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” — China Media Group (CMG), in collaboration with Bahria University, organized a vibrant event on June 2 to mark World Environment Day. The aim of the event was to raise environmental awareness and inspire individual action through educational, creative, and cultural activities.

The event was attended by over 80 students and prominent environmental activists.

Dr. Adam Saud, Dean of Social Sciences at Bahria University, delivered a compelling speech emphasizing the significance of President Xi Jinping’s Two Mountains Theory. He stated that environmental protection is not solely the government’s responsibility but a personal duty of every individual.

“Every tree planted, every drop of water saved is a step towards a better planet,”

he urged students to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors through small but meaningful actions in their daily lives.

During the event, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of creative activities including poster painting, model displays, and a photography competition — all centered around the theme of environmental protection. Their creativity and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated by the audience. Judges praised the intellectual depth and uniqueness in each piece, recognizing them as outstanding efforts in transforming scientific awareness into expressive art.

The emotional highlight of the event was a powerful stage performance that depicted the consequences of environmental neglect and the hope inspired by sustainable living. The performance served as a vivid portrayal of the Two Mountains Theory and was met with resounding applause from the audience.

Students who excelled in the creative competitions were awarded certificates of appreciation by China Media Group. The energy and passion of the students was palpable, as they pledged to become environmental ambassadors within their institutions and communities. This collaborative initiative by China Media Group and Bahria University was not only a memorable celebration of World Environment Day but also a meaningful step toward long-term environmental action. It successfully inspired Pakistani youth to protect nature with knowledge, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility — in true spirit of the “Two Mountains Theory.”
