Baku, June 5, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, in Baku to discuss avenues for expanding bilateral economic and energy cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting underscored the close and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which continue to thrive due to the shared political will and strategic vision of both countries’ leadership.
The ministers reviewed the growing collaboration across critical sectors including industry, trade, and logistics. Both sides affirmed that regular dialogue and engagement involving private sector representatives are key to nurturing and advancing mutually beneficial business partnerships.
In particular, the two ministers exchanged views on the diversification of economic cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint participation in major international energy initiatives. They also explored prospects for deepening collaboration in the field of green energy, in line with global efforts toward sustainability and energy transition.
