President of Turkmenistan Approves New Delegation for Turkmen-Russian Economic Commission

Ashgabat, June 5, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an official document approving the new composition of the national delegation to the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via video conference on Wednesday.

According to Turkmenistan’s state news agency, the document was adopted as part of efforts to implement bilateral agreements previously reached between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation and to further strengthen economic collaboration between the two countries.

In the course of the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth remained steady at 6.3 percent during the reporting period. He noted that all state programs currently in force are being effectively executed in line with national development priorities.

The Cabinet of Ministers also reviewed the outcomes of socio-economic activities across various sectors for the first five months of the year. President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the positive performance indicators and reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining sustainable development and expanding international partnerships.
