Islamabad, June 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: The German Embassy in Islamabad has extended warm Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan, sharing a heartfelt and thoughtful message that highlights both the festive spirit and the embassy’s appreciation for its dedicated staff.
In a message posted ahead of Eid, the embassy humorously remarked, “Finding the right animal is no child’s play! 🐑” as it shared its recent visit to a local cattle market to select sacrificial animals for the security guards who will remain on duty during the holidays, away from their families.
“Wishing you all a joyful, blessed, and very meaty Eid Mubarak! 🌙✨” the embassy wrote, underscoring a spirit of inclusion and celebration.
The message was also shared in Urdu to further connect with the local community:
“صحیح جانور چُننا بچوں کا کھیل نہیں! 🐑 عید پر ڈیوٹی پر موجود گارڈز کے لیے بھی خوشی کا بندوبست ہو، جو اپنے خاندانوں سے دور ہوں گے — اسی لیے مویشی منڈی کا چکر لگایا تاکہ ان کے لیے بھی دُنبے چُنے جا سکیں۔”
Eid-ul-Azha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is celebrated by Muslims around the world and symbolizes devotion, compassion, and generosity. The embassy’s gesture reflects a strong commitment to cultural respect and solidarity with the local community and its own team.
