Chairman BRISD Qaiser Nawab Meets Governor of Hainan Province During “Overseas Tour Operators Hainan Tour 2025” in Sanya

Sanya, June 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: Mr. Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD) and founder of the Silk Road Culture and Innovation Hub, participated as the youngest panelist during the prestigious Overseas Tour Operators Hainan Tour 2025 held in Sanya, Hainan Province, China.

On the sidelines of the event, Mr. Nawab held a meeting with H.E. Prof. Liu Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province. During the meeting, Mr. Nawab presented the Shield of BRISD to Governor Liu as a token of appreciation for his visionary leadership in promoting tourism, sustainability, and global cooperation through the Belt and Road framework.

Mr. Nawab briefed the Governor on BRISD’s global youth engagement, cultural exchange programs, and digital innovation strategies aimed at advancing sustainable development goals. He particularly emphasized the role of youth tourism, advocating for enhanced use of digital storytelling, influencer marketing, and targeted outreach to younger travelers who are not only tech-savvy but also play a decisive role in family travel decisions.

Governor Liu warmly appreciated Mr. Nawab’s suggestions and noted the significance of integrating age-specific strategies into Hainan’s tourism branding. He expressed keen interest in the ideas presented and welcomed further cooperation between Hainan Province and Pakistan.

During a special luncheon hosted by the Governor, Mr. Nawab extended a formal invitation to His Excellency to visit Pakistan, and proposed new avenues for collaboration, including:

a. Launching a “Friends of Hainan” Global Tourism Club to promote Hainan’s offerings internationally.

b. Hosting a “Governor’s Forum on Island Tourism” in Sanya, inviting governors from globally recognized tourism destinations to share knowledge and develop joint promotional efforts

The Governor welcomed the invitation and praised BRISD’s efforts in promoting youth-centered sustainable development and cultural diplomacy.

This high-level engagement marked a significant step toward building strong sub-national cooperation between Hainan and Pakistan, leveraging youth energy, digital tools, and people-to-people diplomacy to bridge gaps and foster a shared future.

The Overseas Tour Operators Hainan Tour 2025 attracted over 700 tour operators and international participants, making it one of the region’s most influential platforms for global tourism dialogue. A five-member delegation from BRISD also took part in the event.
