Shavkat Mirziyoyev Meets with U.S. Business Delegation Ahead of Tashkent Investment Forum

Tashkent, June 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: On the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a high-level meeting with a delegation of leading U.S. companies to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation and deepening investment ties.

The delegation included prominent U.S. officials and business leaders, among them U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Eric Meyer, Chair of the American–Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, and Vice President of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Bethany Brez. Senior executives from major American corporations such as Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, and Coca-Cola also participated in the meeting.

President Mirziyoyev welcomed the growing interest of U.S. businesses in Uzbekistan and emphasized that the meeting reflected a shared commitment to fostering long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation.

Discussions focused on the prospects for expanding investment and innovation partnerships. The two sides explored concrete project opportunities in the development and processing of critical raw materials, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and other strategic sectors.

The U.S. business representatives expressed their appreciation for the favorable investment climate being cultivated in Uzbekistan and conveyed their readiness to strengthen engagement. They also presented a number of specific proposals and forward-looking initiatives aimed at supporting Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms and sustainable development agenda.

The meeting underscored the dynamic momentum in Uzbek–U.S. economic relations and laid the groundwork for deeper private-sector collaboration in support of Uzbekistan’s modernization and growth goals.
