Uzbek President and Turkmen Deputy PM Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership at Tashkent Investment Forum

Tashkent, June 11, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on key issues concerning the further advancement and deepening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations. The discussions underscored the enduring principles of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership that form the foundation of bilateral cooperation.

Special emphasis was placed on developing a forward-looking agenda for comprehensive collaboration across a range of priority areas, including trade, economic integration, transport and logistics, communications, energy, and water resource management. The leaders also discussed expanding cooperation in various sectors of the economy to ensure mutually beneficial growth.

Both parties highlighted the significance of thorough preparations for the upcoming Regions Forum, as well as a series of joint business and cultural events aimed at fostering closer ties between the two nations.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to enhancing multifaceted cooperation and promoting regional stability and prosperity.
