Trump Launches Website for Proposed $5 Million U.S. Residency “Golden Visa” Program

Washington, June 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday formally unveiled a new website for his proposed $5 million U.S. residency visa initiative, commonly referred to as the “golden visa” program. The platform, now accessible at TrumpCard.gov, marks the opening of the program’s waiting list, according to media reports.

“Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World,” Trump wrote in a social media post accompanying the announcement.

Originally introduced in April during a high-profile event aboard Air Force One, the initiative features a golden visa prototype that bears Trump’s likeness. At that time, Trump stated the visa would be available “in less than two weeks,” though as of now, the visas are not yet being issued.

The newly launched website allows interested applicants to submit their name, email address, and visa interest under the banner “The Trump Card is Coming.”

Trump has described the proposed visa as a premium alternative to the traditional U.S. green card, asserting that it would attract wealthy job creators and foreign investors. He has also claimed the program could generate significant federal revenue and help offset the national deficit.

“The Trump Card,” he said, would ultimately offer a path to U.S. citizenship. During earlier remarks in February, Trump suggested the program might sell “maybe a million” of the visas and did not exclude Russian oligarchs from potential eligibility.

The launch comes at a time of heightened immigration enforcement nationwide. Reports of expanded deportation raids have sparked protests and drawn legal challenges, with critics accusing Trump’s administration of rights violations in its handling of immigration policy.

Despite controversy, the “Trump Card” visa initiative signals the former president’s ongoing effort to reshape U.S. immigration priorities around economic contribution and high-net-worth applicants.

Further details regarding eligibility, processing timelines, or regulatory approval for the visa program have yet to be released.
