Baku, June 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: A large-scale open-air concert celebrating National Salvation Day will be held on June 15 in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center, offering a vibrant showcase of Azerbaijan’s rich musical heritage. The event is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of the Baku City Executive Power, and is open to the public free of charge.
The concert marks the 32nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s historic return to power, a pivotal moment in the nation’s modern history. The celebration will bring together a host of Azerbaijan’s most acclaimed artists across a variety of musical genres — from pop and mugham to ashig music and other traditional styles.
The evening will open with a special performance titled “Karabakh Rhythms” by the internationally renowned “Natig” Rhythm Group, setting the tone for a night of cultural pride and musical excellence.
Among the featured performers are legendary names such as Alim Qasimov, Fargana Qasimova, Dilara Kazimova, EMIN, Faiq Aghayev, Ilhama Qasimova, Irada Ibrahimova, Lala Mammadova, Manana, Nigar Jamal and Eldar, Roya, Sevda Alekperzade, Sabina Babayeva, and Tunzala Aghayeva, along with many other celebrated artists from Azerbaijan’s vibrant music scene.
In a symbolic tribute to the national celebration, the iconic Heydar Aliyev Center building will be illuminated in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag, adding a patriotic flair to the evening’s festivities.
National Salvation Day, celebrated annually on June 15, commemorates the return of Heydar Aliyev to the political leadership of Azerbaijan in 1993, a turning point that ushered in a period of national consolidation and stability.
