Baku, June 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers delivered a strong performance at the U17 European Championships held in Skopje, North Macedonia, securing a total of six medals, including three golds.
The gold medalists for Azerbaijan were Ravan Hasanzade in the 48kg category, Ruslan Alizade in the 55kg category, and Said Pashayev in the 92kg division. Their victories highlighted the strength and growing talent of Azerbaijan’s youth wrestling program on the continental stage.
The achievement underscores Azerbaijan’s continued success in international wrestling and its commitment to developing the next generation of champions.
