Ankara, June 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with former United States President Donald Trump to discuss the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, according to a statement released by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
The talks focused on regional developments and bilateral matters, with particular attention given to the ongoing Israeli-Iranian confrontation. President Erdoğan welcomed recent remarks made by Mr. Trump advocating for an end to the hostilities and the restoration of peace in the region.
