Fuzuli, June 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: Participants of the 65th plenary session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), currently held in Baku, have commenced an official visit to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region.
The delegation’s first stop was Fuzuli International Airport, where they were briefed on the extensive destruction inflicted during nearly three decades of occupation by Armenian forces. Azerbaijani officials also provided updates on the large-scale reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts underway since the district’s liberation.
Following the visit to Fuzuli, the delegation travelled to the city of Shusha, a cultural and historical symbol of Azerbaijan. During their tour, PABSEC members are scheduled to visit notable landmarks including Shusha’s Central Square, the historic walls of Shusha Fortress, and the Jidir Duzu plain.
The visit highlights the international community’s growing engagement with the post-conflict recovery process in the liberated territories and underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to rebuilding the region and showcasing its cultural heritage.
