Washington, June 22, 2025 – The Europe Today: U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that American airstrikes targeted Iran’s key nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, in what he described as a decisive move to eliminate the country’s uranium enrichment capabilities.
In a formal address from Washington, Trump said the objective was to dismantle Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and prevent it from posing further threats to regional stability.
“Iran’s facilities have been destroyed,” the president declared. “Now it is up to Iran to choose peace. If peace is not pursued, future attacks will be far more severe.”
According to U.S. media reports, six bunker-buster bombs were used in the strike on the Fordow nuclear site, while 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles were deployed against other nuclear installations across Iran.
Despite the scale of the operation, reports indicate that President Trump has no current plans for additional airstrikes, and hopes that this military action will pave the way for diplomatic engagement.
