Beijing, June 29, 2025 – The Europe Today: Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on residents of a village in the Xizang Autonomous Region to uphold ethnic unity and work together to build a happier and more prosperous life.
President Xi, who also serves as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, expressed these sentiments in a reply letter addressed to villagers in Nyingchi, a locality he visited in July 2021.
In his message, Xi conveyed warm greetings and extended his best wishes to the villagers, reaffirming the importance of ethnic solidarity as a cornerstone of national unity and long-term stability. He encouraged the residents to remain steadfast in their efforts to improve their livelihoods, deepen mutual understanding and respect among ethnic groups, and continue contributing to the region’s development and harmony.
President Xi’s correspondence reflects the central leadership’s ongoing attention to the well-being of communities in the Xizang Autonomous Region and underscores the national priority placed on fostering inclusive development and social cohesion.
