Ashgabat, June 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held separate high-level meetings with Erman Ilıcak, Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding, and Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of the Board of Çalık Holding, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported on Sunday.
The discussions focused on the current status and prospects of strategic partnerships between Turkmenistan and Turkish companies, with both sides reaffirming their long-standing cooperation across key sectors including energy, construction, and healthcare.
During the meetings, the Turkish business leaders expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Turkmen National Leader. They also extended warm birthday greetings to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and congratulated him on the second anniversary of the founding of the city of Arkadag, recognizing the country’s significant development milestones.
Erman Ilıcak highlighted the large-scale urban development initiatives launched in Turkmenistan under the vision of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which are now being effectively pursued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The National Leader, in turn, acknowledged Rönesans Holding’s responsible performance and its contribution to building modern facilities that meet international standards.
In his meeting with Ahmet Çalık, the sides discussed the achievements of long-standing cooperation, particularly emphasizing successful joint ventures in infrastructure, power generation, and healthcare development. The shared historical and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Türkiye were recognized as a solid foundation for further strengthening bilateral collaboration.
Chairman Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s adherence to principles of equality, mutual respect, and transparency in its economic relations with foreign partners. He underscored the importance of adopting scientific approaches, integrating innovative technologies, and prioritizing modern solutions in all joint undertakings.
Both Turkish business leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue fulfilling their responsibilities with integrity and expressed readiness to expand cooperation in priority areas aligned with Turkmenistan’s national development goals.
