Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Turkmen Ambassador in Islamabad Meets Sri Lankan High Commissioner

Islamabad, July 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, H.E. Fred Seneviratne, paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, H.E. Atadjan Movlamov, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

Ambassador Movlamov warmly welcomed High Commissioner Seneviratne and extended his heartfelt congratulations on his recent appointment as Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Pakistan. During the meeting, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps provided an overview of the diplomatic community’s engagements and elaborated on the regular events organized under the auspices of the Dean’s Office. He also highlighted the coordination mechanisms in place between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the diplomatic corps, emphasizing the importance of collective diplomatic collaboration.

In response, High Commissioner Seneviratne expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage with the Dean. He shared updates on Sri Lanka’s recent developmental achievements and discussed potential areas for enhanced bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Christy Ruban, Minister at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Islamabad.

The meeting underscored the spirit of diplomatic goodwill and mutual respect among member states represented in Pakistan.
