According to reports, at least 105 people have been confirmed dead, with dozens still missing after torrential rains caused the Guadalupe River to overflow early Friday morning, reaching the height of a two-story building in some areas. The majority of the casualties occurred in Kerr County, where 84 deaths have been reported.
Among the victims were several campers from Camp Mystic, a riverside camp in the town of Hunt. In a statement, the camp management confirmed ongoing cooperation with local and state authorities in search efforts for the missing girls.
“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from the community, first responders, and officials at every level,” the camp said in a statement quoted by CBS News.
