Avaza, July 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conducted a working visit to the Balkan Velayat, where he inspected a number of hotels and key infrastructure facilities in the National Tourist Zone of Avaza in preparation for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), state media reported Wednesday.
During the visit, special emphasis was placed on ensuring high standards of hospitality for international participants expected to attend the forum. Berdimuhamedov carefully examined hotel accommodations, underscoring the importance of delivering services that reflect both modern comfort and Turkmenistan’s longstanding traditions of hospitality. He stressed that every detail affecting guest experience — from room quality to the upkeep of the surrounding environment — must meet the highest standards.
In a subsequent working meeting with heads of relevant agencies, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty called for the expedited completion of all preparatory work, noting the limited time remaining before the start of the global event. He provided specific directives aimed at coordinating efforts among various institutions to ensure that the country presents itself at its best.
Particular attention was devoted to media and public outreach concerning the international forum. Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of active and dynamic reporting on the conference, highlighting its historic significance for landlocked developing nations. He instructed national television channels, radio broadcasters, and online media platforms to provide comprehensive daily coverage, including key deliberations and decisions emerging from the event.
As part of his inspection tour, Berdimuhamedov also visited the Congress Center in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, one of the main venues designated to host LLDC3 sessions. The National Leader assessed the readiness of the building and its surroundings, noting its blend of modern architecture with the natural coastal landscape. The center is equipped to accommodate international summits, business meetings, and cultural programs.
The working visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Balkan Velayat is ongoing, with further engagements expected as Turkmenistan intensifies preparations to host this important United Nations conference.
