Baku, July 11, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high-level delegation led by Federal Minister for Law and Justice of Pakistan, Azam Nazeer Tarar, visited the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan during an official engagement in Baku.
The delegation was received by Chief Justice Inam Karimov, who underscored the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, emphasizing shared religious, historical, and cultural values that continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation. He noted that relations between the two countries, built on mutual trust and support, are steadily expanding across various sectors, including legal and judicial affairs.
During the meeting, the Pakistani delegation was briefed on Azerbaijan’s ongoing legal reforms and efforts to build a governance system based on the rule of law. Chief Justice Karimov stressed the promising potential for deeper collaboration between the judicial institutions of both nations. He highlighted the significance of experience-sharing in legal reforms, judicial system modernization, and capacity-building for judges and legal professionals.
Federal Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed Pakistan’s interest in enhancing legal cooperation with Azerbaijan. He stated that strengthening judicial ties would yield mutual benefits and contribute to the development of both countries’ legal systems.
The meeting also included discussions on other matters of shared interest, further reflecting the commitment of both sides to foster closer cooperation in the legal and judicial domains.
