Baku, July 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, held a meeting with Lu Mei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Azerbaijan, to discuss the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries, according to an official statement.
In a message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Minister Jabbarov expressed satisfaction with the recent elevation of Azerbaijan-China relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
“We also reviewed key items on the economic cooperation agenda and discussed prospects for joint initiatives in trade, industry, investment, energy, transport, and the digital economy,” the Minister noted.
Both sides emphasized the significance of the Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signed during President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to China, in guiding the deepening of bilateral economic and trade collaboration.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Azerbaijan and China to expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors and advancing mutually beneficial initiatives under the framework of their strategic partnership.
