Ashgabat, July 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Children, Oguljahan Atabayeva, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislav Chepurny, to explore new avenues for expanding humanitarian cooperation, with a particular focus on child health and welfare. The meeting was reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Saturday.
The discussions centered on joint efforts to protect children’s health, with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in the medical and social sectors. On behalf of the Chair of the Belarusian Children’s Fund, Lyudmila Kondrashova, Ambassador Chepurny conveyed a letter of appreciation, commending the Turkmen foundation for its notable contributions to the well-being of children.
Ambassador Chepurny emphasized the significant role of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund in providing medical care to children in need and creating conditions for their healthy development. In turn, Atabayeva presented an overview of the foundation’s achievements over the past four years, during which hundreds of children have benefitted from advanced medical treatments, including cardiac surgeries and neurosurgical interventions.
The two sides also acknowledged the importance of the international conference held in March in the city of Arkadag, which served as a platform to discuss pressing global humanitarian initiatives. The Belarusian side expressed keen interest in deepening cooperation and further strengthening social partnerships in this field.
Concluding the meeting, Vice President Oguljahan Atabayeva and Ambassador Stanislav Chepurny exchanged best wishes and reaffirmed their mutual dedication to expanding bilateral cooperation for the benefit of future generations.
