Rawalpindi, July 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: Indonesian Minister of Defence, accompanied by a high-level delegation, paid an official visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday and held a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indonesian delegation comprised representatives from various branches of the armed forces and intelligence agencies.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia. The talks also covered regional security dynamics and explored avenues to enhance military-to-military collaboration.
The longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries were reaffirmed, with a shared emphasis on further deepening strategic ties.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the significance of mutual collaboration for peace and stability in the region. The Indonesian Defence Minister, in turn, appreciated the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in combating terrorism and reiterated his country’s commitment to expanding defence relations with Pakistan.
The visit marks a continuation of robust defence diplomacy between the two brotherly nations.
