Turkmenistan and UAE Discuss Strategic Cooperation Ahead of LLDC3 Conference

Ashgabat, July 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova held a meeting on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan, Ahmed Al-Hai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), scheduled to be held this August in Avaza, Turkmenistan. The discussion underscored the importance of high-level international cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by landlocked developing states.

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the talks also focused on key areas of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE, highlighting achievements and exploring avenues for future collaboration.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in multilateral diplomatic engagement and economic cooperation.

Concluding the meeting, the diplomats discussed the organization of upcoming bilateral events and emphasized the significance of maintaining active and constructive interaction on international platforms to further advance mutual interests.
