Baku, July 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, visited the Alley of Honors in Baku to pay solemn tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of modern independent Azerbaijan.
During the visit, Chairman Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, honoring his enduring legacy and pivotal role in the development of Azerbaijan as a sovereign state.
He also placed flowers at the grave of renowned ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, commemorating her contributions to science and public life.
The visit reflects the strong ties and deep respect between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, particularly at the level of leadership and shared historical values.
