Islamabad, July 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: His Excellency Dan Stoenescu, the Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan, has extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt solidarity to the people of Punjab, Potwar, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—particularly the communities of Jhelum, Chakwal, and Lahore—who are mourning the tragic loss of over 120 lives due to the devastating monsoon rains. He noted with concern that the death toll continues to rise.
Ambassador Stoenescu stated, “In this time of sorrow, we stand with the people of Pakistan. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.”
He also expressed his concern and support for the residents of Hyderabad and other regions facing similar hardships due to the ongoing extreme weather.
