Islamabad, July 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia met with the Honourable Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, H.E. Faisal Karim Kundi, during a commemoration ceremony held in Islamabad to celebrate the achievements under the Youth Engagement and Resilience Initiative, led by the Human Resource Development Network (HRDN).
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker briefed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on the proactive and impactful role of Ethiopian youth in the implementation of the Green Legacy Initiative—a visionary campaign launched by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. The initiative aims to accelerate green economic development and foster environmental sustainability across Ethiopia through large-scale reforestation and conservation efforts.
The two dignitaries also discussed avenues for expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Pakistan, particularly through increased collaboration in areas of youth empowerment, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
Both sides expressed their mutual commitment to deepening friendly ties and enhancing engagement between the peoples of Ethiopia and Pakistan through shared initiatives that contribute to long-term regional and global stability.
