Ashgabat, July 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan convened a working meeting this week, attended by Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. A key outcome of the meeting was the formal signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry and the Charity Fund.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the agreement outlines collaborative efforts to safeguard the health and well-being of children under guardianship. The partnership will focus on facilitating medical surgeries, implementing rehabilitation programs, and integrating advanced medical practices to enhance the overall standard of care.
During the meeting, participants underscored the major progress Turkmenistan’s healthcare system has achieved over the past thirty years. They highlighted the adoption of international medical standards and the ongoing expansion of healthcare infrastructure as key pillars of national development.
