Tashkent, July 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: On July 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the call, the Turkmen National Leader warmly congratulated President Mirziyoyev on his birthday, extending sincere wishes for good health, well-being, continued success, and enduring peace and prosperity for the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
The two leaders also discussed current matters related to the deepening of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Particular attention was given to the practical implementation of agreements reached during the high-level meeting held in Samarkand in April this year.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady growth in mutual trade turnover, the expanding cooperation between enterprises and businesses, and the ongoing cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two nations.
In addition, the leaders exchanged views on pressing international and regional developments, including preparations for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
