Bogor, July 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto hosted a comprehensive dialogue on Saturday with dozens of young professionals specializing in economics and business at his private residence in Bogor, West Java.
According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, a total of 82 participants, who are alumni of top Indonesian and international universities, presented innovative ideas to support national development. These young professionals are members of the Presidential Fellowship in Economics & Business Leadership, a scholarship initiative personally launched by President Prabowo.
“During the over five-hour session, President Prabowo actively listened to the presentations, responded to questions, and exchanged views on cutting-edge issues in science, technology, business, and economics,” Teddy said.
Photographs released by the Cabinet Secretariat depicted President Prabowo deeply engaged—listening attentively and taking notes throughout the event.
Key topics discussed included technological advancement in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, semiconductor innovation, and comprehensive strategies to eliminate fuel imports and achieve national energy independence.
Teddy emphasized that the Presidential Fellowship is a highly selective program aimed at nurturing Indonesia’s next generation of leaders in economics and business. The fellowship recipients were chosen through a strict selection process by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
Among the distinguished fellows is Carina Citra Dewi Joe, a scientist from Oxford University who contributed to the development of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. She was awarded an honorary professorship by Airlangga University in Surabaya on December 20, 2023.
