Islamabad, July 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: Today, a high-level five-member Chinese business delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and Precise Development (HK) Limited, is currently visiting Pakistan to explore industrial collaboration opportunities. During their engagements, the delegation met with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Islamabad, who warmly received the delegation.
The Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Yi Jiang, Director of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and Mr. David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (HK) Limited, China, expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to create an investor-friendly environment.
During the substantive discussions, the two sides explored multiple areas of potential cooperation in the maritime sector, with particular focus on establishing modern shipbuilding and repair facilities at Pakistan’s major ports. The talks also covered plans for developing specialized industrial zones near port areas to facilitate export-oriented manufacturing, along with comprehensive technology transfer programs encompassing port management systems, ship design capabilities, and other critical maritime technologies. Minister Chaudhry emphasized Pakistan’s unique geographical advantages through its coastal economic zones and the transformative potential of CPEC in connecting regional markets.
The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to intensify collaboration in maritime industries and identify specific investment projects that could be implemented in the near future. Both acknowledged the importance of following up on the discussions through technical working groups and expressed commitment to converting the shared vision into tangible economic outcomes that would benefit businesses and communities in both countries.
