Islamabad, July 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met with Muhammad Ali Durrani, a senior Pakistani politician and Head of the Pakistan–Turkmenistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral economic collaboration.
During the meeting, held in Islamabad, both sides exchanged views on the prospects of organizing joint exhibitions, facilitating the exchange of business delegations, and hosting investment forums. These initiatives aim to enhance economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, building on the strong diplomatic ties established between the two countries on February 7, 1992.
Ambassador Movlamov presented an overview of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy and emphasized the country’s robust trade and economic potential. He also highlighted a wide range of investment opportunities available in various sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy.
According to a statement from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan, both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to expanding business ties and intensifying bilateral cooperation.
The meeting reflects the growing momentum in Turkmenistan–Pakistan relations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and inter-parliamentary collaboration.
