Iran and Pakistan Sign 12 Cooperation Agreements to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, August 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: In a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations, Iran and Pakistan have signed 12 cooperation documents spanning a broad range of sectors, including science and technology, transportation and transit, trade and economy, tourism, and agriculture.

The agreements were inked during a formal ceremony held in Islamabad on Sunday, attended by high-level officials from both nations, notably Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, following a joint meeting between their respective delegations.

According to official sources, the cooperation documents are designed to establish a robust framework for long-term collaboration, encompassing areas such as judicial and legal affairs, industrial partnerships, cultural heritage preservation, and regional integration.

The newly signed agreements are expected to promote knowledge sharing, enhance trade and transit infrastructure, and deepen people-to-people contacts between the two neighboring countries, which share deep historical, cultural, and religious ties.

President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, leading a high-level political and economic delegation, and was received with full protocol honors by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The visit marks a renewed commitment by both nations to boost strategic cooperation, especially amid growing regional challenges and opportunities for integration in South and West Asia. The two sides also reiterated their shared vision for peace, connectivity, and sustainable development.
