Islamabad, August 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad on Saturday night to discuss efforts to enhance bilateral relations and deepen regional cooperation.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the relationship between Tehran and Islamabad, with an emphasis on expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade, and promoting joint efforts for regional stability.
The discussions focused on exploring new avenues of collaboration in mutually beneficial sectors, including connectivity, energy, infrastructure, and people-to-people exchanges. The two foreign ministers also reviewed the regional and global developments of common interest and underscored the importance of maintaining close diplomatic coordination.
The meeting was held as part of the official two-day visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, during which he is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Mining and Trade, Roads and Urban Development, and Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
President Pezeshkian’s visit is expected to further solidify the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Iran and foster deeper cooperation across political, economic, and security domains.
