Warsaw, August 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: Czech tennis star Kateřina Siniaková secured her first singles title in more than a year by winning the WTA 125-level Polish Open. The 29-year-old defeated Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic in a commanding final performance, wrapping up the match in just 78 minutes with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Currently ranked No. 89 in the world, Siniaková dropped only one set throughout the tournament — in her opening match against Thailand’s Lanlana Tararudee. This title marks a strong comeback for the Czech player, who just a week earlier was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the WTA Prague event by Linda Nosková.
Siniaková’s previous singles title was at the WTA Challenger event in Lleida, Spain, in May 2023. With this win, she now holds five career singles titles on the main WTA Tour, alongside her distinguished career as a world-class doubles player.
