Islamabad, August 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday underlined Pakistan’s strong commitment to enhancing economic cooperation with Morocco, describing the North African nation as a key partner with vast potential for bilateral collaboration.
Speaking at a meeting with Moroccan Ambassador Mohamed Karmoune, who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Zardari highlighted that Pakistan attaches great importance to its economic relations with Morocco. He noted that Africa is on the verge of significant economic growth in the coming years, and Morocco — with its impressive economic development — is well-positioned to spearhead this transformation and contribute to regional prosperity.
The President emphasized that Pakistan and Morocco share fraternal ties founded on common faith, shared values, and mutual respect, which should be further strengthened for mutual benefit. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to expand cooperation with Morocco in various fields and expressed gratitude for the country’s support during the 2022 floods, calling it a reflection of the depth of friendship between the two nations.
Extending his best wishes for the continued health of King Mohammed VI, President Zardari requested the envoy to convey the goodwill and warm regards of the people of Pakistan to the King and the people of Morocco.
