Jakarta, August 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Prabowo Subianto is set to highlight his flagship initiatives, including the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) programme and the People’s School programme, during his first state address before the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) on Friday.
House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III Chair Habiburokhman said the president is also expected to touch on the Red-and-White Cooperatives and the national food barn initiative.
“President Prabowo Subianto will likely speak about MBG, the Red-and-White Cooperatives, the People’s School, and the food barn programme,” Habiburokhman stated at the Parliament Complex on Friday.
He added that the address would also place strong emphasis on law enforcement and the fight against corruption. “We see how legal practice under President Prabowo’s administration is no longer used for political gain. The law is no longer enforced only against political rivals but is applied equally and fairly to all,” he remarked.
The MPR’s Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) were held at the Parliament Complex on Friday, coinciding with the eve of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day celebrations.
During the joint session, President Prabowo will deliver his first state address and present a report on his government’s performance to the nation. Later in the afternoon, he will present his second address before the DPR plenary session, outlining the 2026 State Budget.
