Tashkent, August 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: The International Chess Academy in Tashkent is currently hosting the International Rating Tournament “Tashkent Summer 2025”, bringing together 255 promising young chess players from five countries and all regions of Uzbekistan.
The competition is organized in three groups. Group A includes girls with rating points above 1800 as well as invited players. Group B is open to all participants, while Group C is reserved for players born in 2014 and later.
Holders of international titles and prize-winners of the 2025 Uzbekistan Championship in the standard category have been granted exemption from participation fees. Importantly, rating points will be counted across all groups, ensuring participants have the opportunity to improve their international standings.
The tournament aims to promote competitive spirit among young talents while further strengthening Uzbekistan’s reputation as a leading chess nation.
